Sophie Fowler began her work with the BearID Project as an undergraduate volunteer, and has since graduated with a BA in Geography from the University of Victoria. Upon her graduation, Sophie moved into a position as Research Assistant for BearID. Within this varied role, she serves as a field technician as well as field data and social media manager. Sophie is responsible for initial processing of the thousands of camera trap videos that we collect to form our image database for wild bears. Her passion for wildlife conservation and dedication allows our project to efficiently navigate fieldwork and organizational tasks.
