The Brown Bear Research Network aims to fund novel and innovative research projects which push the boundaries of knowledge and develop our understanding of brown bears in British Columbia
We are seeking exceptional applicants with demonstrated experience in research within the broad field of conservation biology, and who display the promise and passion required to be leaders of their prospective fields. The fellowships we offer aim to fund Ph.D. and Postdoctoral research, however exceptional M.Sc. projects may also be considered on a case-by-case basis. Project funding will therefore be available for between 2-5 years, depending on the scope of the project and anticipated outputs within the time-frame. Applicants should be based at/be affiliated with a Canadian academic institution, however applications from international institutions may also be considered. The fellowships are open to applicants of all nationalities, however international applicants are responsible for acquiring the necessary immigration documents required to come to Canada to work/study; these will be checked before any funding is released. Applicants are required to establish a supervisory relationship with an academic institution prior to applying for funding.
